No sound on digital channels, what do I do?
All the SD channels have picture and sound, they are in 480i. The few HD channels that say they are in 1080i do not have sound. My Vizio 20" HDTV says it has a built in tuner, and all I'm using is a RG6 Quad Shield coaxial cable to the cable/antenna in. When I use the auto scan it says there are 70+ analog channels and like 10 or so digital channels, which are the ones shown in HD with no sound. Another TV in the other room, also an HDTV does not even get them.. Is there something wrong with my TV or cable, or am I even supposed to be getting these channels?
It sounds like the tuner inside of you tv is defective. If you are under the warranty, I would try to get a new one or get yours serviced.
