is there any way to hook up 3 10 inch dual 4 ohm subs into a 4ohm load?
i bought the mtx road thunder 10 trio set and its at a 2.67 ohm load which isnt good on my amp im tryin to get the load up to 4 any suggestions... and i dont have another box so that one wont work
Nope, you're stuck with 2.67 ohms. The only way to get 4 ohms is with one more sub with them wired like so http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/sparky3489/SERIES-PARALLEL.jpg althought the amp would also need to be 4 times the power of one sub.
If ANYONE suggests to use a resistor, pay no attention as they obviously don't have a clue. Here's why:
1. Standard resitstors are only 1/4 watt and won't handle the power and would be destroyed on the first note.
2. Even if you use a high powered resistor, you'd lose part of the power through it.
